Reading and Interpretation of English Technical Texts for Geographers

• the basic strategies for reading English technical texts (textbooks, professional and academic journals, and newspapers),
• the analysis of professional and academic texts,
• the use of dictionaries and electronic media,
• consolidation and expansion of specialised vocabulary,
• viewing and analysis of videos with geographical topics,
• independent collecting and analysis of data, designing and giving presentations,
• familiarisation with the use of online proofreading tools and machine translation.
Course topics relate to other courses in the study programme of geography.
