Short history of material culture studies from first attempts in Great Britain in 19th century. Material Culture studies as crucial research programme of early Britannic anthropology. Relations between research work and museums as space for anthropological presentation to the public. Research of fashion, clothing culture, food culture, interior design culture, culture of games and toys, sport culture, entertainment, decoration etc. Technical heritage and development of civilization, machines, traffic, cybernetics and information science. Material culture studies and critical theories of material culture in last decades of 20th centuries. Collecting, tesauration, as material practice and epistemological model of accumulation and organizing of knowledge. Trading, critique of consumptions and consumer society. Material culture and museum collections; tangible and untangible cultural heritage; object as symbol and simulacra; museological theory and critical analysis of theory and practice of selection, tesauration and preserving of museum objects. Museum (ethnological/anthropological) object, documentation, collection management, techniques and ways of preserving and keeping of museum objects.
