The subject presents and discusses some of the fundamental concepts of social ties, the structure of the community and its traditional forms (family, clan, people, religious community, the city as an urban political formation, school, Church), as well as modern forms. Included are the concepts of habitus, social capital, etic and moral norms, the constitution of the individual person and the issues of contemporary society. Substantive and methodological topics based on the classics of sociology, such as Durkheim, Weber, Simmel. Also are includes later analysis (Berger, Bellah, Bourdieu), and contemporary authors, such as Bauman, Luckmann, Morin, Maffesoli, Galimberti, Attali, Giddens, etc. Form of social ties and the community are subject to a process of rapid changes in which new forms to overcome traditional forms, such as linguistic community, nation, class, and political nation.
